American Association of Homeopathic Pharmacists (AAHP) Addresses Diabetic Claims for OTC Homeopathic Drug Products
The American Association of Homeopathic Pharmacists (AAHP), representing the principal manufacturers and distributors of homeopathic medicines in the U.S., said today that it fully supports the Food and Drug Administration position that OTC drug product labels shall bear indications for use consistent with conditions amenable to self diagnosis and treatment.
The AAHP is taking this action because it is concerned that products labeled for uses outside of the scope of self medication may place consumers at risk.
The AAHP is the leading educational organization for manufacturing, marketing and labeling of homeopathic drug products. Manufacturers and marketers of homeopathic medicines who would like to learn more about the regulatory requirements for labeling and marketing homeopathic medicines may contact the AAHP at: www.theaahp.org
