MILWAUKIE, Ore. (November 22, 2016) – The American Association of Homeopathic Pharmacists’ (AAHP) newest educational webinar will take place on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. EST and will provide best practices for homeopathic manufacturing facilities, specifically as they relate to U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) inspections.
Designed for CEOs and managers responsible for compliance, production and quality assurance, the webinar will be lead by Tamara Ely, Senior Policy Advisor in the FDA’s Office of Manufacturing Quality and will examine the FDA’s considerations for inspections regarding compliance in homeopathic drug manufacturing facilities. Featuring case studies and compliance outcomes, the 90-minute program will provide an overview of what homeopathic manufacturers should expect from an FDA inspection of their facility.
“By knowing what the FDA takes into consideration, homeopathic manufacturers can better prepare for inspections and minimize their impact on day-to-day business activities,” said Mark Land, AAHP President. “Ultimately, this crucial education leads to manufacturing excellence and the production of the safest, highest quality homeopathic products.”
The webinar is the fourth of five in AAHP’s 2016 series. Others have has included a session on new and expanded labeling guidelines published in the Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States (HPUS)—the federally recognized compendium for homeopathic starting ingredients and manufacturing. In another webinar, Brad Pace, acting director of the FDA Compliance Office’s Division of Nonprescription Drugs and Health Fraud, presented best manufacturing and labeling practices.
