AAHP Supports CDC Recommendations for COVID-19

MILWAUKIE, Ore. — The American Association of Homeopathic Pharmacists (AAHP), representing the major manufacturers and distributors of homeopathic drugs, confirms that it is unaware of any homeopathic literature or clinical trial that specifically support the use of any homeopathic drug for prevention or treatment of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus and does not recommend its use in treating 2019-nCoV. This clarification comes in the wake of questions about homeopathic treatments for the new respiratory virus first identified in Wuhan, China.

Accordingly, the AAHP reminds manufacturers, retailers, healthcare providers, and consumers alike to follow the advice of public health officials during all health crises. Up-to-date information on the Coronavirus can be found through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/.
